1992-93 Jim Paek Game Worn Jersey (set 1)
This jersey was worn for the first half of the 1992-93 season, and is photo matched to a 12/27/92 game against the Sabres in which he had two assists. Paek was my favorite player as a kid, so this jersey holds tremendous sentimental value.
Originally drafted by the Penguins in the ninth round of the1985 entry draft, Paek would play in the OHL and IHL before being called up to the big club for their 1990-91 playoff run. He would score a goal in game six of the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals, helping the Pens to their first championship in franchise history, and becoming the first South Korean to have his name engraved on the Stanley Cup. His jersey proudly hangs in the hall of fame in Toronto.
