Mark Recchi 2005-06 GAme worn jersey (set 1)
Mark Recchi was one of the most productive and durable forwards of his generation, compiling 577 goals and 1,533 points in 1,652 NHL games over 22 seasons. A seven-time All-Star and Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Recchi won three Stanley Cups with three different franchises and finished his career among the NHL's all-time leaders in games played, goals, assists, and points.
Originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round of the 1988 NHL Draft, Recchi developed into a star during his first stint with the club. He led the Penguins in scoring with 113 points during the 1990-91 regular season, en route to winning the Stanley Cup. He followed with a career-best 123 points in 1991-92 before being traded to the Philadelphia Flyers. After successful stops in Philadelphia and Montreal, Recchi returned to Pittsburgh prior to the 2005-06 season, providing veteran leadership for a rebuilding team led by then-rookie Sidney Crosby. Despite playing on a struggling club, he remained one of the Penguins' most reliable offensive contributors, recording 24 goals and 57 points in 63 games.
This jersey was worn midway through the 2005-06 season, and shows excellent wear in the form of stick marks, board burns, board transfer, and gashes on the sleeves. It is conclusively photo matched to several photos from that time.
