2009-10 Pascal Dupuis Game worn Throwback Jersey
Dupuis was acquired in the 2008 blockbuster Marian Hossa trade, and was an afterthought until finding a home as Sidney Crosby’s unlikely go-to winger a few seasons later. After helping the Penguins to their third Stanley Cup in 2009, Dupuis had a breakout season in 2009-10, surpassing his career averages. He would continue to be a productive winger for the Pens until blood clots halted his career in 2015-16. “Duper” remained an inspirational figure for the team the following season, cheering them on as they won their second consecutive Stanley Cup, allowing Dupuis to ride off into retirement as a two-time champion.
This was originally prepared for and most likely worn by Evgeni Malkin for one game in 2008-09. You can clearly see an imprint from the 71 on the back, and there are knotted threads around the set tag, indicating a previous set tag was removed. The jersey shows nice wear, heavy pilling, one large repair, and is photo-matched to several games from the 2009-10 season.
